After another meeting, the U.S. President Donald Trump said that Congress has no choice. This statement was published on Thursday evening.
“We all need this wall and security. I know for sure they are discussing this topic, but they have no choice,” said U.S. President after meeting with Sen. Richard Shelby. NBC News reports that both sides are trying to find a compromise that avoid a new shutdown and ensure border security, since migration is one of the main problems for the United States. Earlier, Donald Trump said that he would build this wall on the border with Mexico, even if he did not receive $5.7 billion from Congress. After that, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she would not sign any funding agreement for this wall.
"If I don’t receive $5.7 billion from Congress, I will find another source of funding, but this wall will be built in any case. Moreover, I will improve all border monitoring technologies to ensure the safety and security of all Americans. Do you not see this problem?" Trump said.
Recall The U.S. President said that he should receive funding until Feb. 15 or new shutdown will start. This will be the 2nd shutdown in America over the past 3 months.
