Trump can not develop AI without funding

Trump can not develop AI without funding
In 2017, China announced that it is going to become a leader in the race for artificial intelligence and provide new solutions by 2030. On Monday, Donald Trump provided a document, in which he told about new developments and plans for the next few years. But all the experts asked one question: "Who will finance these developments?" Now, the President of the United States can not offer new sources of funding for the development of artificial intelligence.

Two years ago, the Middle Kingdom provided a national plan that talked about future developments in the field of artificial intelligence. But Donald Trump and the White House administration ignored this statement.

"We will be watching the new race between the West and the East," former chief information officer Theresa Payton said.

No one country wants to lose the race, as AI is not only a weapon. Leading experts are confident that this technology will become the basis of any business in the future. Artificial Intelligence will also solve the global problems of humanity, NBC News claims.

“New technologies will take one of the countries to a new level and make it more influential,” said Payton.

Most people oppose the development of Artificial Intelligence as they have seen robot attacks in films. But scientists say that this technology will help solve many problems and save humanity. AI will be used in medicine, sports and military areas. The new plan of the Middle Kingdom showed the world that its government has many plans and ideas, but at the same time, it frightened Washington.

“Our strategy will not be changed. All big investments will be made in startups dedicated to the development of AI,” said Donald Trump.

According to CB Insights, 50% of the $19.2 billion invested in all AI development startups, were sent to the U.S. companies in 2018. This report was Trump's first attempt to draw Americans' attention to the development of artificial intelligence.

“I want everyone to understand that this is an important race and America should hold the leading position. Artificial intelligence is the wonderful future of the United States and Americans,” Donald Trump said.

But Theresa Payton said that the development of AI will not continue without funding.

“If Donald Trump wants to accelerate technology research and development, then he needs to find funding and specialists,” Payton added.
