As Edition reports, United Airlines plane was scheduled to fly from New Jersey to Hong Kong, when suddenly it had to go out of way and land due to medical emergency in Goose Bay Airport. It touched the ground at 9:31 p.m. and medical staff serviced the crew and passengers. However, when plane was about to take off the ground, it faced a mechanical break. It caused a long and unbearable waiting for help for 14 hours, as passengers could not leave the plane because customs officer was not present at night hours.
In addition, door of the plane had broken and passengers were stuck on the board with the limited amount of food, and frigid, insufferable cold to negative 20 degrees. When waiting, one of the passengers started twitting photos of the staff, who was trying to fix the door, and telling that they were running out of food. The plane grounded on Saturday, and only on Sunday the airport officials delivered food to the passengers.
Plane could take off the ground only after 14 hours of very long waiting. Passengers were frustrated and felt anxious. To reclaim a fault, United Airlines provided the passengers with the new tickets for flight on Monday. However, some passengers received a letter, in which United Airlines promised to return money for tickets.
