Barrier between two seas.Don,t mix into each other.Sorate Rahman
Sazwanutmani 125 views 2 days ago 7 followersThe phenomenon of two oceans or water bodies that meet but do not mix is often attributed to differences in their physical properties such as salinity, temperature, and density. This creates a visible boundary, known as a halocline, between the two.
Examples of This Phenomenon:
1. Atlantic and Pacific Oceans (at the Strait of Magellan):
In the southern tip of South America, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet, you can see a visible line due to the difference in water composition.
2. Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean (at the Strait of Gibraltar):
These two water bodies have different salinities and densities. The Mediterranean water is saltier and denser than the Atlantic, creating a distinct separation where they meet.
3. Baltic Sea and North Sea:
The Baltic Sea has a lower salinity compared to the North Sea. When these two seas meet, the difference in salinity creates a boundary.
This phenomenon is also referenced in the Quran in Surah Ar-Rahman (55:19-20):
"He has set free the two seas meeting together. Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress."
Modern science has provided evidence of such occurrences, showcasing the divine wisdom highlighted in the Quran.
