Allah

Allah is the Arabic word for God, and in Islam, it refers to the one and only Supreme Being, the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. The definition of Allah encompasses the following key concepts: 1. Oneness (Tawhid): Allah is unique, indivisible, and has no partners, equals, or offspring. This concept is central to Islamic monotheism. 2. Eternal and Everlasting: Allah is eternal, without beginning or end, and is not bound by time or space. 3. Attributes of Perfection: Allah possesses all attributes of perfection, such as mercy, justice, knowledge, power, and wisdom. These are described in the 99 Names of Allah (Asma'ul Husna). 4. Creator of All: Allah is the creator of everything that exists, both seen and unseen. 5. Unseen and Beyond Comprehension: Allah is beyond human understanding and imagination, yet is close to His creation and aware of all things. In the Qur'an, Allah introduces Himself in Surah Al-Ikhlas (112:1-4): > "Say, 'He is Allah, [who is] One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent.'" This definition reflects the essence of Islamic belief in Allah as the sole, all-powerful, and merciful deity.
