Al Mu'izz

Al-Mu'izz (المعز) is one of Allah’s 99 Names and means "The Bestower of Honor" or "The Giver of Might." It signifies that Allah alone grants dignity, strength, and status to whomever He wills. Just as He can elevate someone, He can also humble them, as seen in His other Name "Al-Mudhill" (The Dishonorer). Quranic Reference Allah mentions this concept in the Qur’an: > "You honor whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent." (Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:26) This shows that true honor and status do not come from wealth, power, or people’s approval but from Allah alone. How Al-Mu'izz Works in Life 1. Granting Honor to the Righteous – Allah raises the status of those who have taqwa (God-consciousness) and good character. 2. Giving Strength to the Believers – Even in difficult times, Allah grants inner honor and strength to those who trust Him. 3. Elevating in Both Worlds – Honor from Allah is not just in this life but also in the Hereafter, where He will reward the faithful. How to Live by This Name Seek Honor from Allah, Not People – Do good deeds sincerely for Him, not for social status. Respect Others – Since Allah alone gives honor, we should avoid arrogance and treat others with dignity. Make Du’a for Honor – Ask Allah to grant you honor in both worlds while remaining humble.
