Difference between standard for Selection of life partner in boys and girls

The selection standard for a life partner often differs greatly between boys and girls. Societal expectations frequently prioritize physical beauty, domestic skills, and submissiveness in girls, while boys are often evaluated based on their financial stability, career prospects, and social status. However, Islam teaches us to look beyond superficial qualities and prioritize piety, character, and compatibility. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her family, her beauty, and her religion. Choose the one with religion, may your hands be rubbed with dust!" (Bukhari). By adopting a more balanced and faith-based approach, we can build stronger, more harmonious marriages.
