Noor Mahal is a historic palace located in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Built in 1872 during the reign of Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan IV, the palace reflects Italian and neoclassical architectural styles, inspired by European influences. Originally constructed as a residence for the Nawab’s wife, it was rarely used for that purpose.
The palace features exquisite domes, grand corridors, intricate frescoes, and beautifully designed arches. It has over 30 rooms, including a large hall and a basement. Today, Noor Mahal is a protected heritage site under the Department of Archaeology of Pakistan and serves as a major tourist attraction. It is also used for state functions and official meetings.
Surrounded by lush gardens and illuminated at night, Noor Mahal stands as a symbol of the rich cultural and architectural heritage of Bahawalpur.
